Issues Facing Women Leaders
in Aotearoa

Leadership For Good surveyed over 100 women in leadership to ascertain a clear picture of what women in leadership are dealing with today. Research was undertaken in August 2024.  When asked if they had experienced any of the following scenarios in the workplace within the past 12 months, survey respondents said they ‘often’ or ‘very often’:

received unequal

pay for

equal work

had a lack of mentorship or sponsorship opportunities

encountered gender bias in favour of men in promotion decisions
